Today we moved to Mississippi.
We are staying in our friends yard for this stay. Walt & I have known Ronnie & Margaret FOREVER! Since we were teens! Back in the day you never saw Ronnie without Margaret or Margaret without Ronnie. Always with his arm around her. Always.
I'll be honest with you, I was apprehensive about this stop. You see, we haven't seen Margaret in years. 48 for me! When we were all hangin' out Margaret hardly ever spoke. She was extremely shy and was just kind of there. I expressed my concern to Walt about what do I do if she still doesn't talk??? Well,,,,,Margaret found her voice! We've been talkin' up a storm!
They took us for a ride and we visited a Veteran's Memorial on the beach. We took notice of the beautiful white sand beaches and even though it sunny and hot there no one the beach anywhere! No one!
After taking in the Memorial we went further down the road and went to a casino. Walt and I played with the $15 the casino gave both of us.
Now let me explain something here. Neither Walt or I are gamblers. Oh yeah, we play bingo in the summertime and Left, Center, Right on the game nights we have, but that's it. But hey, it was the casino's money so if we lost it, we lost it. Well, that wasn't the case! We left winners!
We cashed in four vouchers! Count 'em, four! These babies added up to $ <<<< see that dollar sign??? These babies added up to $.73! We held our heads high and walked out winners!
They also gave us each $15 for food. We spent that wisely since we had already had lunch earlier. We each bought 2 pieces of New York cheese cake, 2 large brownies and two buckeye balls. $30.00 well spent!
After arriving back home we had dinner and we introduced them to JRR hot dogs! So good! Our friends really enjoyed them!
Ronnie and Boss took to each right away. Boss was happy that he didn't need to be tied to anything and could run free. Ronnie loved roughhousing with Boss and Boss just loved this rough and tumble play.
Ronnie and Margaret have a "weighs next to nothing" Chihuahua. Boss was intrigued to say the least. They did pretty well together and then the little one got a little nippy. Boss wanted to play in the worst way but the little was justifiably nervous around him. Hey, what's a 136 pound difference between friends?
