WEDNESDAY 9.18.19 FLORIDA / GEORGIA

Hello Georgia! It was a pretty easy run from Tampa to Savannah and I got some driving time in.

We are in a very nice campground outside of the tourist district. We are lovin' this Passport America organization we're in. Half price on every campground we've stayed in so far. This one is definitely a destination park. Its very well kept and seems to have the best of everything.

We are in Creek Fire RV Resort.

When I went in to get us registered I, of course, used my given name because of the credit card.  Everyone called me Miss Mary.  That southern charm gets me every time.  The office for the resort was absolutely beautiful both inside and out.

We met the people next to us and they are from New Jersey. Walt was trying to clean the dead love bugs off the trailer and they were trying to get them off also with a steamer when she said that Mr. Clean Magic Erasers would do the trick but that she was out of them. Off to Walmart we went and between in the two of us we cleaned out the shelves of Magic Erasers. They worked! Little dead carcasses just rolled right off. Soon she and her husband were also cleaning the dead carcasses off more easily.

Boss was just as happy as could be laying on the patio watching the world go by.

After dinner Walt filled in the states on our map.

Its really filling in.

In the evening we watched TV, cable of course, and planned our day for tomorrow.

THURSDAY 9.12,19 MISSISSIPPI / FLORIDA

Today we bid farewell to Ronnie & Margaret.  We would have loved to stay longer but the journey must continue.

It was mostly highway driving today.  I even got some time behind the wheel as I drove through part of  Mississippi, all of Alabama and into Florida.  I even did a gas station stop.  I am getting the hang of this!

We stopped for lunch in Alabama but didn't see much more.  I had hoped to visit the town of New Hope but that just didn't pan out.  Next time.

We made it as far as DeFuniak.  Its in the pan handle and we stayed in a little Passport America campground situated on a lake.  Nothing fancy, but not a dump.  It was worth the $13 we paid.  Gotta love these half price campgrounds with PA.
